Julian's Story
(Current Update at the bottom)
**Approved by San Jose State University Athletic Department**
Meet Julian. A few months ago, 7-year old Julian, started losing his eye sight and hearing. After multiple tests and doctors visits, Julian has been diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy, or ALD, which is a rare genetic disease that destroys the brain's myelin, the protective sheath that surrounds the brain's neurons, the nerve cells that allow us to think and to control our muscles.
Julian's older sister is Jamilecxth Becerra, a sophomore forward on our San Jose State Women's Soccer Team. We are teaming up to help Jamilecxth and her family through this difficult time.
PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR GOAL! This rare disease works fast and the quicker we donate, the quicker the family and Julian are to getting the proper treatment.
ALL FUNDS will go directly to the families medical bills, travel expenses for treatment and incidentals for hospital stays and visits.
**CURRENT UPDATE, September 27 2018** Julian's symptoms have progressed to losing eye-sight, hearing, lose of control to his bladder and can't walk. Thankfully he was discharged from the hospital last night. Thank you all who have supported and lets continue to spread the word to help Julian's family out.
