Help Julian & Holly keep their home and the ceremonies going

27 years ago, Julian Golden made a set of prayer ties for a place to live where people could come to do Sweat Lodge and Vision Quest ceremonies. That Prayer brought him to a home on 43 acres overlooking Emigrant Lake and he has lived there for the past 26 years. Seventeen years ago, he was joined by his dear wife Holly, who has made this sacred land her home as well. Together, Julian and Holly Golden have lovingly tended to this land ever since.

They have opened their hearts and home to countless individuals over the years. They’ve offered ceremonies and solace to so many, never asking for anything in return. This has been their quiet and devoted service to the community. They have dedicated their time, energy, hearts, and hands to support hundreds of people who’ve come for Sweat Lodge, and dozens more who’ve done Vision Quest.

This place is more than a home. It is a living, breathing sanctuary. Julian’s son Galen was born here 21 years ago. Julian’s older son, Jesse—who was tragically killed at the age of 26—was laid to rest on the land 15 years ago. Their lives are deeply intertwined with the spirit of this land. This land has held their tears, their prayers, their love, their lives. It holds their family.

There is so much that goes into holding these ceremonies—so much care, attention, and prayer. That we have a place to pray in this way is an absolute blessing—an answered prayer for so many.

And now, this cherished land is under threat.

The original owner of the property had a long-standing deep friendship with Julian and Holly, but that owner has passed away. The heirs are now selling the property, as soon as possible.

While the Golden family is rich in spirit, they need help raising the funds necessary to purchase and protect this sacred land—this precious home. We have only 10 business days to make an offer before they put it out to the public.

We believe the bond between land and its caretakers is sacred—divinely selected. The spirit of the land has chosen its stewards. Julian and Holly have lived here, prayed here, and laid family to rest in this soil. They have tended this land, the animals and the plants with reverence and care. It is not just where they live—it is where Spirit lives.
