This is my nephew, Julian, and myself. Please take a moment to read his story.

Julian came to live with my wife and me through CPS around 10 years ago. His mother had gotten in trouble, and he needed stability and guidance. He was such an angry young man and had every right to be. His grades were always above par, but his behavior was quite bad, to put it mildly.

My wife and I worked with him, along with school and church, and in time he became the most well-mannered, loving, kind, and respectful young man a father could hope for.

We showed him love, that's it, and it worked.

He graduated high school two-tenths away from graduating with honors.

He has received some financial support and some scholarships, but it's still not enough. His dorm and food costs on campus come to almost $1000 a month.

May not seem like a lot to some, but when you have 5 other kids, rent, and bills, it adds up.

I'm asking for help.

If anyone deserves to achieve his dream of becoming a doctor, it's definitely him. The thought of him not being able to cover $1000 a month is heartbreaking...

So, $1000 a month per semester is what I'm trying to raise. Prayerfully, not only will we reach that goal, but next semester we hope he qualifies for more assistance and I won't have to ask for donations again.

Please, help however you can.
