Help Jubaiha Family
Hello!
We are a family who came to the USA in December 2019 seeking asylum. We lost everything we had back home including money, family and friends, and lost our jobs. We have no family or friends here in the US, and we are seeking asylum here for protection.
Soon after we moved to the USA, we were on lockdown and were not able to find jobs to this day we are in temporary housing moving every few months and not able to have a stable home. We spent all our savings during the years and are still not able to find jobs as we have a pending asylum case. Almost no one is willing to hire us because of our immigration status. Finding jobs is hard so food and housing is also very difficult to maintain.
We tried applying to EBT and other benefits, but our immigration status as pending asylees did not qualify us for anything and we have to fend on our own. The current wait time to get an immigration interview and for the court to hear our story is around 6 years and we do not have money to live until that time, not for rent, medical bills, housing, and food. Our lease is almost ending and we will move again 5th time since coming.
We are very thankful for having the opportunity to live here in safety away from trouble, but we need help, the help to be able to pay for the necessities, rent a house, buy furniture, send our children to school, pay bills, medical bills and health needs, food, and get lawyers to help us with our immigration process.
I feel ashamed to say this, but any amount, any help, anyway, we are depending on the generosity of people to survive now. Please help us. Thank you.
