<div>Just one week before Christmas, Juan was rushed to the hospital after feeling unwell for several days. What began as concern quickly turned into every family’s nightmare. Doctors discovered a severe infection in his right foot, and despite their best efforts, the infection spread rapidly. To save his life, Juan was faced with the unimaginable reality of losing his right foot.

<div>Juan is known and loved by many in the community as Kiara de Mar. He is vibrant, kind, and always the first to show up for others. He has built strong relationships through love, laughter, and service. Above all, Juan is a devoted family man and the main provider for his household.

<div>This sudden tragedy has changed everything. Juan is now facing a long and painful recovery—physically, emotionally, and financially. Medical bills continue to grow, daily expenses do not stop, and months of therapy lie ahead. In time, Juan will also need a prosthetic leg so he can learn to walk again and regain his independence.
