<div>On May 8th, tragedy struck our family when our beloved grandma Joyce’s home of nearly 50 years was completely destroyed in a house fire in Apollo, Pennsylvania. Miraculously, Joyce survived thanks to the bravery of her son Mike, who ran into the burning house to pull her to safety. Both were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and minor wounds, and are now recovering at Mike’s home.

<div>Joyce’s house—filled with nearly five decades of memories—is a total loss. Gone are the blankets she lovingly crocheted for her grandchildren, her cherished eagle collection, and the beautiful woodworking heirlooms crafted by her late husband. Her life’s treasures, built with love and devotion, are now ashes.

<div>While Joyce does have homeowners insurance, it's still unclear how much will be covered—or how long it will take. Insurance can take weeks or even months to process, and often doesn't replace everything lost. Your donations will help with:

She’s a fearless, loving woman—someone who never missed a chance to ride a roller coaster or watch a movies with her grandkids or travel across the country to visit family. She loves God, her family, eagles, and a good old-fashioned (with two cherries). I'll forever remember, at nearly 80 years young, she climbed three flights of stairs to our rooftop party in Baltimore the night before our wedding. She laughed the night away, smiling with everyone like she was 25.
