Help Joy stay at Temple!

Joy Lynn Pringle-Bato is a Freshman Musical Theatre student at Temple University class of 2021. After facing some finacial hardships, she is unable to pay for the spring semester. 

Joy is an only child and is the first of her family to go to college. She did not picture herself going to college, but ultimately wanted to pursue a future in the arts. Joy applied to 10 schools and got into them all. She ended up coming to Temple because it was her top school and she fell in love with the school from the moment she stepped onto campus. 
Unfortunatley, as her family was paying for the fall semester, they were caught in a legal dispute with their landlord. The landlord forced them to leave the premises. The money set aside for her tuition was now being used to make sure Joy's family was not homeless in the new year. The money was also used to pay for medical expenses for her grandmother, who is a cancer survivor and needed money for medication and check-ups. 
Joy is now on a financial hold until she can pay off the fall semester. She is unable to register for classes and is trying anything possible to stay at Temple. 




Our class of 2021 is a family and you don't get to pick your family. You can pick your friends, but when push comes to shove, your family will be there for you. Do familes fight? Yes. Do they hate each other from time to time? Absolutely! Most importantly, your family will catch you when you fall.
