Help Joy Overcome Her Medical Crisis & Long-Term Recovery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Vincent. My co-workers and I at the VA Medical Center in Reno, NV are setting up this GoFundMe account for Joy Gauthier. Ate (Sister) Joy is like a family member to so many of us here at the VA. Her husband, a veteran, passed away in late 2023 after a 20+ year marriage. Following this difficult loss, she was able to take a trip to the Philippines in June 2024 to see her family after 10+ years away from her birth country.

Her long-awaited vacation took a tragic turn when she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke due to AV malformation bleed shortly after arriving in the Philippines. Currently, she's admitted in the ICU unit of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Medical Center in San Fernando, Pampanga in the Philippines, where she will undergo emergent AV malformation removal. Currently, there's an immediate need for Ate Joy's hospital bills and post-op long term recovery. She also left behind her constant companion, a cute Maltese Poodle named Coco, with a friend.

Please include Joy in your prayers and help us to help her recover. Any amount you can send will be greatly appreciated.
