Help Joy and her babes find a home!

Donation protected
After struggling to make ends-meat for over a year in Idaho, Joy was determined to create a happier life for her family. She packed up her sweet little babes, all belongings and left Priest Lake Idaho and began her journey to Seattle in search of a job and a better, happier life. When Joy arrived she quickly found a job where she could stay with her children while she worked, she did not have money for child care. She began driving for UberEats during the lunch and dinner rush.
Hauling her children all over Seattle to deliver food is not ideal but she does her best and makes multiple park breaks to get their wiggles out.
After the first two weeks, she had enough money saved to move from sleeping in her car to sleeping in a motel while she waited to hear about available beds at local shelters. Joy also began using care.com to secure sitters so that she could pick up extra deliveries and the kids could take a break from riding in the car. Joy would meet the sitter at a local park where the kids would play and eat dinner. She would finish her runs and return to the park to take the kids back to the motel. Staying in a motel was much more comfortable then the car but she was not saving money and she wanted to find a permanent home. They began sleeping in her car again. Just 3 days ago they received word that Mary’s Place had beds for them.
I met Joy and her children at my neighborhood park just a few nights ago. She was organizing her car while the children played. I noticed that she was setting out toiletries, PJ's, warm clothing and food. I approached her and we started chatting. She was warm, friendly and had a lovely energy about her. I invited them back to my house for popcorn and a movie. We began sharing about ourselves and after an hour or so I asked them to stay the night in our guest room. After staying up a couple more hours she went to bed. I popped in to the room a few minutes afterwards to say good-night and ask if she needed anything before I headed up. She had tears in her eyes and was snuggling both her babies. She said it was the first time in a long time that she could hold them both and cuddle them while they slept. She was so genuine, so open and honest and so vulnerable.
I have spent the last few days with Joy and her children and have taken the time to get to know them and care for them. She is so much like you and I... She is doing her best to survive while trying to be the mommy her children need her to be.
Therefore, I have started this GOFUNDME campaign. I have met such a beautiful person and I want to do all I can to help her create the life she deserves. The life her children deserve. I know that times are hard for so many and it can be difficult to tell who is legit and who is not---let me assure you she is the real deal and I will stand by her. The money raised will go towards First, Last, Deposit, setting up a household. and securing child care while she works.
If you are able to donate here THANK YOU! If you cannot, perhaps you can share Joy's story with others! So, THANK YOU!
My hope is that together we can help Joy and her children find a permanent home. A place they can settle into and begin much needed routine, stability and happy memories. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
