<div>For more than 45 years, Journey's End has been a refuge for the forgotten—the senior dogs no one wanted, the cats with medical needs, the farm animals that had nowhere else to go. On 5 acres of grazing land, with a large home and a spacious cat house where our animals are never in cages, we are a registered 501c3 non profit. Our mission has always been to provide a safe, loving, lifelong home for animals.

<div>In February of 2024, at the age of 96, the founder of Journey’s End passed away. Florence entrusted ownership to an individual, a “friend”, and in May of 2026, the new owner informed us we must vacate the property. Take the animals and leave, we've been told, but to where?

<div>Please, we desperately need your help! Realistically we have 90 days! Our goal is to raise $300,000 to go towards our need for a home with 3 to 5 acres of land, zoned agriculture. A place we will own! Large enough to continue to open our doors, which we have done for over 45 years, to animals in need of a soft place to call home, forever. A home, just like the one we have to give up, with comfortable couches and chairs and never a cage, with grazing areas and dry, safe corrals. To carry on the dream Florence made real and never worry about being told to leave, ever again.

<div>Currently we permanently house and care for 8 dogs, 39 cats, 3 pigs and 3 sheep. All met one or more of the criteria of age, health or living conditions. We have had to say no, Temporarily, to all new intake requests because of the uncertainty of this move. This temporary predicament saddens and worries us because we have been, and will continue to be, a valuable resource to our community by accepting animals into our forever home .Turning away folks in their hour of need is not who we are.
