Hello, I'm Josie and I'm fundraising to get needed repairs for my car. The starter is dead and I'm broke. I just paid off some quarterly bills that ran up my credit card. I thought I'd be done with fundraisers when I got my job, but I'm underpaid (especially for the area and after all the cost of living increases this past year).

I need my car to commute, which I do 4 days a week on average. I also need it to get to my night classes at City College. Without a car, there's a very real possibility I'll lose my job and apartment.

My car needs a starter, new brakes, and new tires to be functional and safe. It could also use some repairs to the AC/vent, and if I'm shooting for the moon, having a stereo that could display a Maps app would make driving safer.

I need $2000 to get the starter, brakes, and tires replaced, and the vent functional again. If I get more than that, I can get the AC and stereo done.

If I get somewhere in the $5k range, I can look at possibly selling my gas car and get an electric. I wish I didn't have to use a gas powered car!
