My name is Josiah Pond and I am a full time college student at Texas A&M in College Station, TX. On November 30, 2024, I was hit by a car while riding my electric scooter to work, suffering severe injuries, including a shattered hip socket, road rash, abrasions all over my body, and a gash on my shin. Emergency surgery was required to place 5 screws and 1 plate in my hip, and I now face a long recovery of at least 6 months. I will be unable to work during this time, leaving me without income to cover my living expenses and other essential costs.
