The Josh Paul relief fund

To know Josh Paul is to love him, and currently Josh (and his sweet dog Harvey) needs some extra love from our community. After being stricken with a brain aneurysm in May of last year, Josh has been unable to work at all in one of his three professions – tattooing. He also had barely been able to work as a sound engineer or play music between surgeries, complications and the like, before COVID-19 hit.

As a final kick in the teeth, his weekly unemployment is an absurdly low amount, not even enough to get the extra FEMA emergency funds that were made available to Texas for the month of August, and there is no assurance as to whether any more federal assistance will ever become available. And if all of that was not enough, he just went under the knife for the third time on September 21, finally getting the aneurysm removed.

There is no guarantee he will ever be able to tattoo again, and there is no end in sight for venue closures,  or the promised local or federal support of the music industry.  All of this being said, I know we are all struggling to make ends meet, but if you have any extra to spare, please consider helping this pillar of our community and dear friend pay his bills, medical and otherwise. And regardless of if you are able to donate, please share!
