A Helping Hand for Josh: Fighting Cancer with Love and Support
Hi, my name is Carlie, and I never imagined I would be writing this. I’m writing in support of my long-time boyfriend, Josh.
Josh and I met in our senior year of high school in 2006 and have been through everything imaginable, but through it all, something always brought us back together. Maybe it was for us to stand here together and face yet another battle—cancer.
Josh was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer at the end of June, which has turned our lives upside down. He will undergo 18 weeks of chemotherapy, 6 weeks of radiation therapy, and finally surgery.
Josh does not qualify for Medicaid at this time.
We're facing an unpredictable future for the next 6-12 months. He is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, and to be completely honest, we are terrified. Now he needs to do the one thing that he has always put last: rest.
That's why I'm turning to our friends and family for help. Your support can make a significant difference in covering medical expenses, transportation, and daily living costs.
This isn’t just about treatment.
It's about creating a space to actually heal, without worrying if the rent will be paid, the lights will stay on, or if we just have to push through another week just to survive. Every donation helps, every share helps, every prayer helps.
Thank you for standing with us.
