Help Joseph Taylor's Family in Their Time of Need

Programs For Exceptional People (PEP) is deeply saddened to learn that a beloved member, Joseph Taylor, passed away from COVID complications. Joseph fought a brief and courageous battle after being admitted to MUSC ten days ago.

Joseph taught us many things about kindness, love, and patience. He had no hate in his heart. His presence at PEP was exemplified by his unwavering belief in his faith, manifested with his angelic voice. Despite challenges, his constant smile and gentle soul were a blessing to his peers and an example to emulate.

Joseph loved church, and both parents are ministers. His favorite songs to sing were "Amazing Grace" and "You are my Sunshine." Joseph loved participating in arts and crafts at PEP. According to Mary Jo, PEP instructor and dear friend, Joseph loved pasta, Wendy's Restaurants, Taco Bell, dancing, singing, hot chocolate, visiting his grandma, and exercising. Joseph had such a warm heart. He assisted other PEP friends at lunchtime getting utensils if they were not able to do so themselves. He took such good care of his good friend, Nick, at lunchtime. He got his lunchbox, opened it and would say, "There ya go, Buddy." Joseph always showed off his pedicures, haircuts, new crocs and tee shirts. He loved getting his picture taken. Joseph will be sorely missed at PEP, and we are confident by all who knew him.
