In Memory of Joseph Abanda - Support for Final Expenses

It is with great sadness that I share the passing of Joseph on March 4, 2025. Despite his courageous fight with colon cancer, which he faced with optimism and strength, he lost his battle. In his final days, he was touched by the outpouring of love and support he received from his friends and community. We will remember his positive, can-do spirit that overcame many obstacles and the many talents he shared with the world.

Our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated, shared, and sent kind words. Your generosity provided essential help during his battle with cancer.

At this time, all remaining funds will be directed toward medical bills, funeral expenses, or any specific wishes from the family. If you would still like to contribute, any further donations will support his family, memorial services, etc.

Help Joseph Abanda Fight Cancer

Joseph Abanda has faced more than his fair share of challenges in life, yet through it all, his resilience, determination, and positivity have never wavered. Known for his active participation in the community, Joseph has not only run in countless races but has also been a dedicated supporter—cheering on fellow runners and uplifting those around him.

Now, Joseph is facing his toughest challenge yet: advanced-stage colorectal cancer. Despite living a healthy and active lifestyle, he was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease. This came as a complete shock—he had never experienced any major health issues before. But just as he has tackled every obstacle in life with perseverance and faith, Joseph is determined to fight this battle with everything he has.

Why Joseph Needs Your Help

Joseph is currently hospitalized at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition has progressed to a stage that requires two major surgeries to remove large portions of his colon, followed by an aggressive chemotherapy regimen every two weeks. His body has weakened significantly, and as a result, he is no longer able to work, and his living situation is now in jeopardy.

Before his diagnosis, Joseph was a man of many talents—a master screen printer, a skilled software developer, an architect, and a prolific artist. He used those talents professionally and looks forward to returning to that work one day. His passion for learning and his generous spirit made him a valued member of various professional and self-improvement groups.

He's a believer in the power of community and testifies to how it's helped his life. Now, he needs his community more than ever.
