Help Jose Luis on his recovery from Covid

Donation protected

This is my uncle Jose Luis Meneses Hernandez. On March 23, 2020 he was admitted to Coney Island Hospital (Brooklyn,NY) for respiratory problems that arose due to Covid.  Prior to Covid, he had no underlining conditions or any health problems.  Three days later he was on a ventilator and shortly after went into coma.  After 2 months of being in coma, he slowly gained conciousness, but we also started seeing the damaging effects of Covid.  On July 14, 2020, he suffered 2 heart attacks, which almost killed him.  The doctors asked for an authorization to have him disconnected.  Our family kept faith and decided to deny the authorization.  He survived the heart attacks and slowly started gaining consciousness again.  He was then transferred to a rehabilitation center, where he is currently staying. Due to the amount of patients they have, my uncle does not get the proper attention needed.
This past year has been very difficult for our family.  Due to Covid, my uncle lost his vision, lost mobility in his body, have memory loss, anxiety, and other complications.  Unfortunately, he has no nearby family members that can help him.  For these reasons we are seeking for help to bring him home to continue his recovery with more support from his family and with the proper medical attention that he need.

Anything will truly help us.  Thank you in advance!
Please continue to stay safe and healthy!

¡Ayuda a José Luis!
