<div>Hello, my name is Jan. I am trying to raise money for my son Jordan and his family. On 9-19-2024, after feeling pain for several weeks in his right leg, Jordan drove himself to the E.R. After tests were run, he was admitted to the ICU with PAD disease (Peripheral Artery Disease). They discovered he had blood clots from his groin to his toes.

<div>After 4 unsuccessful surgeries attempting to open the arteries, another surgeon was called in. They were able to open the arteries to his knee but were not able to open them below his knee. On October 5th, still in ICU, he lost his right leg just below the knee. He was moved out of ICU into a room until October 16th when he was released. Weeks went by with appointments to doctors, wound care, and an infectious disease doctor.

<div>On November 21st, Jordan woke up with pain in his arm. He went to the ER and they discovered another blood clot in his arm. Also discovered was that he had MRSA in his stump. He came home again after major antibiotics were pumped through IVs.

<div>Needless to say, Jordan has not been able to return to work as a Maintenance Supervisor.

<div>Jordan and Ashley at the time still had 4 children at home, aging from 5 to 17. Ashley became his full-time caregiver as well as a full-time mom.

<div>They sold their camper and with the money from that and their income tax return, they managed to survive until recently. He was told he does not qualify for disability and is not considered disabled (but if he had lost a thumb it would qualify him, huh?). He has had to wait until he is totally healed for a prosthesis and then fight with his insurance to cover it.

<div>So, here it is almost the end of May 2025, 9 months later, and we help as much as possible, but they are sick with worry about losing the roof over their heads. <strong>Jordan is a proud man and will not ask for help, but me as his mom will do anything.</strong> <strong>Any amount big or small will help their family and will be so appreciated.</strong>
