Help Joni Get Home

UPDATE: Joni graduated and has passed her boards and is now a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practioner (just waiting on the formal

paperwork). Her divorce is final, and she should have plenty of money to move home but her ex- is not paying her what he agreed to in mediation before the divorce was finalized. So, she is is having to take him to court and is low on funds. She mostly needs money to move back to Georgia where she and her cats have a safe place to land. If you can help, please do. Just one more hump to get over until she can settle down and find her first PNP position. Thanks for anything you can contribute.

original post: My best friend, Joni Jackson Charbonneau, came home this afternoon to find that her husband had moved out and abandoned her with no warning. Joni has 18 weeks of school left to become a psychiatric Nurse Practioner, which has been her goal for many years. Now, with her graduation in sight, her husband (who has promised to help her get through school) has left with no warning. Her lease is up at the end of the month. She has 3 cats, so she can’t just move to a hotel or another apartment. She has very little money of her own, certainly not enough to move, and with 60 hrs a week of school and internship requirements, there is very little time for her to work. Once Joni is finished with school and her boards, she will be able to make a very decent living, but right now she’s really in a bind. Can you help? Please be as generous as you can. I know Joni will pay it forward as soon as she is able. She has been generous helping others when she was in the position to do so. Help her finish school so she can support herself and her cats, and do the work she has been called to do.
