My name is Jonathan, and I'm reaching out because I'm facing one of the toughest moments of my life. After suffering a personal injury, I lost my apartment and am now on the verge of homelessness. I came off my L&amp;I claim at the end of February 2026 and just got a part-time job that starts April 18. In the time between my claim ending and finding work, my friend ridiculed me for not working fast enough. I’d never do that to someone I called a friend, and it’s made my living situation even more difficult. While I do have legal residence as a tenant-at-will, I want to avoid any legal issues and move forward peacefully. 
 
 
 On top of that, our differences in views, especially around current events and the impact of social media, have made things tense and uncomfortable. As an aspiring writer, I always hoped to build a stable life and contribute positively to my community, but right now, I need a helping hand to get back on my feet. 
 
 
 I also have a cat who is my best friend and constant companion. The thought of being homeless with my cat is extremely difficult to bear, and I want to do everything I can to keep us both safe and together. On top of everything else, my car now needs repairs that I simply can't afford, adding to the stress and uncertainty. 
 
 
 I never imagined I’d have to start a GoFundMe to plead for help, but the funds raised here will go directly toward paying off my past rent, student debt, taxes, credit cards, and car repairs. These debts and expenses are the biggest barriers to finding a new apartment and regaining my independence. Your support—whether through a donation or by sharing my story—would mean the world to me.
