HELP JON PAY OFF CANCER

Donation protected

Hello All,

My name is Alex McKinley, I am Jon's business partner and his daughter Jordyn's fiancee.

First off we would like to thank you for taking the time to read through Jon's story.   As many of his friends already know Jon was diagnosed with Stage IV Angio Sarcoma about 10 months ago.

Unfortunately, his treatment options have now come to an end.  The cancer has become more aggressive, and unresponsive to treatments.  For those of you reading this who aren't close to Jon, please read his story below if you have the time.

Following his diagnosis John set out on a mission to beat this horrible disease we all know too well.  He underwent many surgeries removing a kidney, and a large portion of his lung.  The doctors then began intense rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation.  After 6 months Jon had surprised everyone and was seemingly cancer free.  He was ecstatic to only have to see a doctor once every month and to be able to spend time with his amazing daughter.

The two of them were lucky enough to take a trip out to California in October(the profile picture is from their trip).  Upon their return Jon felt rejuveniated, he was able to start working again.   He rejoined his business partners and began bringing his company back to life.

As soon as financial stability seemed to be in reach, Jon was blindsided by an non-cancer related catastrophe.  His body began negatively reacting to his medication and he collapsed; he was rushed back to the hospital towards the end of May.  The doctors discovered he had suffered severe intestinal blockage and it caused life threatening infection to spread throughout his entire excretory system.  The doctors had no choice but to perform a full colectomy(removing his entire colon) in order to fend off the infection.

Jon made it through the surgery and was making a seemingly profound recovery according to the doctors.  During his stay, full body scans were run to detect whether or not the cancer had spread.  They noticed a small nodule on his sternum and the back of his head.  The doctors were confident that once he had his strength back they could treat the cancer with localized radiation.  They devised a plan of attack and we all got ready for battle.  After 2 weeks Jon was released from the hospital and he was sent home to fully recover before treatments.

During his second night home, Jon collapsed due to severe dehydration; he was rushed back to the hospital with minor head trauma and a minor fracture to his collarbone.   When the doctors arrived to assess his progress they noticed a severe decline in his vitals and blood counts.  It was then discovered that Jon had developed diabetes as a result of the stress his body has endured.   The doctors ordered further scans and tests to determine whether the cancer had spread.  The results showed that the disease had spread rapidly over the past two weeks, metastasizing into his bone marrow.

With the new diagnosis the doctors came to a collective decision that he is physically to weak to handle any more treatments.  The main concern now is making sure that Jon is comfortable and at peace.

This gofundme page is for Jon and his family; this disease not only leaves an emotional burden but a financial burden that will be nearly impossible to overcome without aide.  For those who know Jon, you all know he is a very proud man.  He would never ask for help, so I am asking for him.  His family deserves to enjoy the rest of their time together without having debt collectors hounding them.  When the final bell does ring they deserve a chance to properly grieve without worrying about expenses.

Please help out any way that you can, prayers and kind memories of Jon will be just as helpful as any financial contribution.

All proceeds will go directly to Jon's daughter; Jordyn for medical expenses, hospice care, & memorial costs.

Thank you all so much for your love and support, keep the Ganz family in your prayers!
