Hello Family and Friends!
As many of you know, my Daddy has been working diligently for the last four months writing each and every day on the story of his life! Battling advanced glaucoma, he sat inches from the monitor with a black screen and yellow font, just so he could see what he typed each day. But being almost blind didn't deter him from finishing his book! Now that the story is printed and in the notebook (pictured above) Daddy's dream is to see it in print for his family and friends to read and enjoy!
If there is one thing that we can all agree on, it is that Johnny Wills is a great story teller! Whether it's telling jokes, singing with his guitar, or just talking with you.... he loves to tell stories and make folks laugh! Fom his beginnings in rural Georgia on a peanut farm, to his military days in Germany, the Philippines, and Ft. Bragg, to owning and operating his own plasma center in Fayetteville, NC, he tells it all with humor, sadness, and great joy as he recounts his life of nearly 80 years!
But as the story unfolds, readers will learn that his life takes many unforeseen twists and turns along the way, and currently needs our help to make the publication of this book a reality. Self-publishing is very expensive, but the best route to go for a small time autobiography. If you can help Daddy realize his dream of adding "author" to his amazing life's resume, we could not be more appreciative and grateful for your kindness and generosity!
