Help Johnny Stay in University and Engineering

Hello,

My name is Johnny O’Neill Williams and I’m fundraising to help pay for my university costs and living expenses.

I’m the oldest son of a sole parent, as my father passed away from lung cancer in December 2012, just after turning 45 years old. I’m the first child in my family to attend university. My mother maintains our home and my two younger brothers and I on her income but can not contribute as much as I need to maintain my education costs as engineering is one of the more costly degrees to obtain.

I’m entering my second year of full-time Civil Engineering, and OSAP contributions are not enough to cover tuition, books, expenses, rent, and living expenses while away from home. With rent prices increasing the way they have and inflation on food and gas prices, I am finding myself extremely short for this year. I have tried to find steady full-time work over this past summer and accepted numerous jobs both in Ottawa and Mississauga, and I have not been successful in getting enough hours each week to save what is needed.

I am hoping to raise enough funds to keep me in university and cover my rent and living expenses. So please contribute whatever you can, but more importantly, if I can ask you to please share this on your social media platforms as the more exposure I get will hopefully mean the more contributions.
