Help Johnny Fight Guillain Barre

Quick Overview: Johnny was taken to the hospital and admitted on Aug 19 after experiencing tingling in his feet and hands and muscle weakness. Dr. said it was Guillain Barre Syndrome. They gave him IVIG treatments and he was able to walk again with a walker. He was released Aug 24 and sent home for in home physical therapy. By Aug 28 he was unable to stand up and was readmitted to the hospital and Aug 31 he was intubated and sedated. Since then he has experienced highs and lows. He has been given multiple plasmapheresis treatments. He was transferred to Shands Hospital in Gainesville 3 weeks ago and is in their ICU unit. He now has a trach tube and they are trying to wean him off of the ventilator. He seems to be doing well with that. This has been and will continue to be a long road to recovery.
If you know Johnny and Tammy, they are not one to take a handout, so let's call this a hand-up. Tammy has been by his side since day 1 and will continue to be by his side throughout his recovery. This being said, neither one of them has worked in 8 weeks and we do not know when they will be able to return. While they are at the hospital fighting this, unfortunately the bills at home do not stop and the medical bills continue to rise.
I am asking that 1st and foremost you keep Johnny and the family in your prayers. Secondly, if you find it in your heart and have the ability to donate, please do. Even if it's $5. I know most people don't donate if they can't give more, because they figure what's the point. The point is if 20 people donate $5, that's $100; it adds up quick! That $5 could also buy Tammy lunch.
