Help Joey recover from a Robbery

My name is Joey Mircea. I am 21 years old and I own and operate a sole proprietor (just me!) audio production company. Some might know me as the owner of Lynnwood Pro Audio. I primarily work with local High schools such as Bellevue HS, Edmonds-Woodway HS, Liberty HS, Meadowdale HS, Monroe HS, and several more! As a business, I offer my services to schools for far below, what is considered to be, a “regular industry rate,” because the money simply isn’t there in most music programs – simply ask the directors for any of their school's financial struggles and you will understand. I came from one of these programs at Meadowdale, where I worked as a student to make concerts ans the music programs the best I could. Now, I work full time running a business of live sound engineering, studio recording and mixing for Soundsation at EdCC with Kirk Marcy, living the dream and sharing the dream with as many schools as I can!

 

Unfortunately, last week my truck was broken into. I lost almost 40 microphones. About $7000 worth in total, not even considering taxes. About half of the microphones not even belonging to me (loaners from gracious colleagues- about $3200 worth). I have schools who depend on these mics and will need them in the beginning of September. I am placing one of MANY large orders of microphones this week, and I’m afraid that I don’t have the money to sustain my gas, bills, car payment, etc… and provide the services I offered and booked in addition to purchasing these mics.

 

I approached insurance, only to be met with a deductible of $5,000, and following the first claim, a massive hike in monthly rates. So that is not a road I can take. Those who know me personally know that I am not one who asks for handouts, and I feel that is exactly what I’m doing now. Sadly, I don’t have a choice – fearing I may not even be able to make it to October with the current financial state of my business.
