<div>My name is Joe DeVita. I am a musician and music teacher who provides music lessons for children raised in low-income families.

</div>

<div>On Memorial Day Weekend, my car was stolen outside of my home in Glen Iris and was recovered by Hueytown PD two days later.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>After my insurance company inspected the vehicle, it was deemed a total loss. Unfortunately, the insurance company only covered 1/4 of what is owed to the financing company called Bridgecrest.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This means I still have to pay off a car that I do not have anymore. The remaining balance is $7,047.00.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>It is not financially feasible for me to purchase a new vehicle and make monthly payments on two cars.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>For the past month, I have had to rely on the help of friends as well as Uber to get to and from work. Using Uber on a regular basis is not financially sustainable for me, and I hate being an imposition on those close to me.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Also, before the car was stolen, I was in the process of booking performances throughout the US. Not having a vehicle severely impedes my ability to not only travel and do what I love doing, it also makes day-to-day operations like buying groceries, going to the laundromat, and getting to work very challenging.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>While I hate asking anyone for help, I sincerely need it.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Anything you can spare will be received with the greatest of thanks and will go toward paying off my current car bill as well as purchasing a new car.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you in advance.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Sincerely,

</div>

<div><br />

</div>
