Help Jodie get back on her feet

This is a very difficult story to relate because it happened to someone I hold very dear.  On October 11th Jodie Novak was attacked from behind, kidnapped, and carjacked. For those of the us who know Jodie we know she is the most caring,Kind, and selfless person in the whole world. This is the story in her own words from her Facebook post:

Just a heads up to all of my friends out there, especially my friends in NE Minneapolis. On Sunday night I was attacked while waiting for a Lyft to pick me up just outside of Grumpy's NE. I was immediately knocked out. After knocking me out these 3 individuals apparently figured out which car was mine, they loaded me into it and drove me to North Minneapolis where, according to eyewitnesses, they drag raced up and down the streets for awhile basically until my car wouldn't drive anymore because it was totalled. Once the car wouldn't run anymore they apparently took me out of the car and all 3 of them started beating me up in the middle of the street. Thankfully they were chased off by a neighbor who saw what was happening. I woke up in the hospital.

Oh, and also to top things off, immediately when I woke up at HCMC the nurse in the ER asked me if I needed to use the restroom, he pointed it out to me all he way at the end of the hallway. I already was a little unsteady and disoriented, when I got into the bathroom there was a dirty hospital gown and a plastic bag on the bathroom floor. I slipped/got tangled up in the gown and fell again breaking my leg in two places.

So now I have a concussion, a broken nose, two black eyes, and a broken leg. Please if any of you are going out in NE, PLEASE PLEASE make sure you are with at least one other person!! I would never ever wish this on anyone!!!

Finally they stole my cell phone and my wallet. For the time being this is the only way to reach me.

i’m setting up this go fund me because we all know Jodie would never ask for help she only offers help. But right now she needs our help, so if you can donate a little bit to help get her back on her feet we all can rest easy knowing she’s being taken care of in her time of need.  I know a lot of us feel like we owe her that. Thanks everybody I’m sorry if this seems rushed but it is!! Love and miss you all!!
