Fico muito feliz por partilhar que fui aceite num programa de doutoramento em artes performativas em Lisboa.
A minha investigação centra-se em práticas performativas para um mundo em ruínas. Quero investigar que formas de criar podem apoiar nos como seres humanos a estar presentes com a destruição continua dos ecosistemas aos quais pertencemos, e como podemos usar a arte para florescer colectivamente desde esses lugares de ruptura.
Estou comprometida a investigar estas questões não só de um ponto de vista académico mas também como artista, colaborando para establecer espaços transformativos onde as nossas imaginações nos podem guiar para futuros mais resilientes, diversos e regenerativos.

Enquanto continuarei a trabalhar ao mesmo tempo que estudo, por motivos de saúde é impossível para mim neste momento cobrir todos os custos associados com este programa - por isso é que estou a pedir o teu apoio!
Os 3500€ vão cobrir: o meu primeiro ano de propinas, os custos de transporte para Lisboa e a as taxas do Gofundme.
Como o segundo e terceiro anos da formação não tem aulas, as propinas são muito menores e espero poder assegurar outras bolsas e apoios para todos os custos restantes - mas preciso de chegar lá primeiro!

I’m really excited to share with you that I got accepted into a PhD program in performing arts in Lisbon.
My research will center on performance practices for a world in ruins*. I want to look into what forms of performance making can support us in staying present with the ongoing destruction of the ecosystems we are part of, how humans can use art to collectively mourn, heal and flourish from these places of disruption.
I am deeply committed to investigating these questions not only as an academic but also as a working artist, collaborating with others to create and support transformative spaces where our imaginations can drive us to more resilient, biodiverse and regenerative futures. As an artist, I am particularly excited about site-specific outdoors work that intentionally engages our sensing bodies and that makes space for audience agency.

While I can support my basic living expenses through working part time, due to ongoing health problems, I am currently not able to cover all the costs associated with this program - this is why I’m asking you for some support now!
The 3500€ will cover: my first year of tuition,twice weekly return trips to Lisbon by bus and the GoFundMe fees.
Since the second and third years have almost no classes, the tuition and associated expenses are much lower cost so I expect I will be able to secure scholarship funding for all of it but I need to be able to get there first!
