Hello, my name is Joan Gorman. I am a mother of 5 and live in San Antonio, TX.

My mother, who is 75 and lives in California, has just discovered that she has stage 3 colon cancer.

As a family, we are trying to be there to support her and to help her fight her battle with cancer.

We aren't sure how much time she has left with us, and we are trying to plan a Christmas visit and to care for her for 2 weeks in California.

The tickets are around $800 for a family of 5 + rental car + hotel for the stay makes our goal of $5,000 necessary

As a mother of 5, disposable income is not easy to come by, and we are struggling to find a way to make this happen for my mom.
