Help Jimmy Spread his Art!!

Donation protected

Hey everyone, this is Jimmy! He is from Lubbock, Tx and has migrated over to Amarillo, Tx, following his uncle. Jimmy has been in Amarillo for just a couple of years and says he enjoys it. He has a small trailer he currently lives in and rides a bicycle to get around town. He struggles to get the necessities it takes to survive on a daily basis. He struggles to pay for food, clothes, and the utilities at his trailer. He doesn’t get to shower often and often doesn’t have heat and AC.
I found Jimmy on the corner of Western and I-40 painting these beautiful canvases. I had to stop and talk to him. His face lit up as I shook his hand, sat down to compliment his work and listened to his story. I asked him how much for one of his paintings. He told me whatever I wanted to give, which I thought was very generous. He mentioned how much he loved art and how he has been drawing and painting his whole life. He mentioned he has painted Murals for a couple of small restaurants, one in Amarillo and has another small business in Odessa is wanting him to do a mural for them as well.
Jimmy is very talented and I would love to help him further his career in Art. I would like to use the money raised to first get him a cell phone with 6 months of service, he does not currently have a phone. Second I would like to make sure his utilities are on at home to make it comfortable where he lives. Lastly I would like to buy him all the art supplies he needs to do what he loves.

I told Jimmy I would take him to show his art at local galleries and also get them into auctions. Jimmy will receive 100% of all proceeds from any money raised and any money made off of his paintings.

The Amarillo community is powerful and we can come together to change Jimmys life and give him the opportunity to do what he loves! If you are unable to donate, please stop by I-40 and Western by Blue Sky to see his Art. He is very humble and a great guy to have a conversation with. Thank you to anyone that is able to help or stops to compliment Jimmy! Stay Blessed!

Here is the Art he had finished and the one I purchased from him. The pictures do not do them Justice. They are bright and very detailed
