My Story

Hi, my name is Jimmy Escobar. Many of you know me as the owner of Dania Beach Fitness, where I’ve dedicated my life to training, motivating, and building a healthier community here in Dania Beach.

Today, I’m reaching out with deep humility. I am currently battling Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. I have been undergoing chemotherapy treatments, which have taken a heavy toll on me physically and emotionally. While my health insurance covers most of my medical expenses, it does not cover everything — and the uncovered costs, combined with the need to keep my gym afloat, are overwhelming.

Running a small business while fighting cancer is not easy. But I refuse to give up — because I believe in life, in family, in community, and in the power of fitness to change lives.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this campaign, your support makes a difference. Every prayer, every kind word, and every bit of encouragement gives me the strength to keep fighting.

Mi Historia

Hola, mi nombre es Jimmy Escobar. Muchos de ustedes me conocen como el dueño de Dania Beach Fitness, donde he dedicado mi vida a entrenar, motivar y construir una comunidad más saludable aquí en Dania Beach.

Hoy les escribo con mucha humildad. Actualmente estoy luchando contra un Cáncer de Páncreas en Etapa 4. He estado recibiendo tratamientos de quimioterapia, los cuales han sido muy duros física y emocionalmente. Aunque mi seguro médico cubre la mayoría de mis gastos, no lo cubre todo — y los costos restantes, sumados al esfuerzo de mantener abierto mi gimnasio, resultan abrumadores.

Lidiar con una enfermedad tan fuerte y, a la vez, mantener un pequeño negocio no es fácil. Pero me niego a rendirme, porque creo en la vida, en la familia, en la comunidad y en el poder del ejercicio para cambiar vidas.
