<div>Hello family and friends. We have some very difficult news to share. My amazing dad, Jim, was in a horrific motorcycle accident on February 6th. He has severe head trauma, broken ribs, a broken nose, and broken facial bones. Part of his skull had to be removed to relieve intracranial pressure. He is currently in the ICU of a major trauma center fighting for his life.

<div> My dad truly is the toughest man I have ever known. This whole thing has been horrific and gut wrenching. It doesn't seem real at times. I can't sleep much because all I see when I close my eyes is my dad's smiling, goofy expressions and then reality hits again and it feels like I get a punch to the gut. I have tried to figure out a way to make sense of everything and I don't think I ever can.

<div>His wife, Sue (my beautiful mama), is absolutely devastated. They were already on somewhat of a fixed income. as it is, but now things will be extremely difficult on her. She is having medical difficulties of her own and is trying to find a way to care for herself and my dad, as well as their 4 legged children. There are medical bills mounting up and Sue has no way of getting extra income for bills, groceries, animal care, etc…
