<div>Those are the words that completely shattered Ji Yeon’s world on August 22, 2025. It’s been a whirlwind of blood draws, CT scans, lumbar punctures, and, of course, chemotherapy since she got her diagnosis.

<div>Not even one month ago, Ji Yeon was working multiple jobs as a registered nurse and going to school to earn her Nurse Practitioner degree. She was often working 6 days a week while doing her school work in the evenings and going to clinic on the few off days that she had.

<div>But she was full of joy and energy and appreciation regardless of how busy her schedule got and filled every spare moment with friends and family. It hurts my soul to see her strength slowly stolen away by her cancer and the treatment for it.

<div>It’s too early to tell how she will respond to her chemotherapy. But not too early for the bills to start rolling in.

<div>Many of you know that Ji Yeon was working as a full-time bedside neuro tele RN for several years but changed position to work in short stay. Unfortunately, that meant she worked fewer hours per week and missed the cutoff for FMLA by 100 hours. She is on unpaid leave with no way to support herself beyond her savings and your generosity and help.

<div><strong>No one should have to worry about how to afford lifesaving treatment, especially when they are robbed of their energy by that very same treatment, but that is the situation Ji Yeon finds herself in.</strong>

<div>We will fight for a complete cure every single day because we must. I don’t know how hard this journey will be but I do know that it is a long one - best case scenario, at least two YEARS of treatment.
