Help Jhantu Fight Cancer — Every Day Counts

Md. Jhantu Ali is a bright, hardworking young man — a graduate of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka, and a proud officer of the 41st BCS Administration Cadre. He is a public servant, a beloved friend, a son, and a dedicated citizen who has just begun serving the people of Bangladesh.

But now, he is in the fight of his life. Jhantu has been diagnosed with T-cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad, India. At the peak of his illness, doctors had to drain over 10 liters of fluid from his body each day to keep him stable.

Thanks to emergency chemotherapy, there is now a glimmer of hope — the fluid accumulation has started to decrease, and his body is slowly responding to treatment. However, the fight is not over.

A Message from Jhantu:

“Throughout this past year, the physical and emotional toll of fighting cancer has been immense. As I begin this crucial phase of treatment, the financial burden has also taken its toll. Medical bills, medications, and hospital stays have added up, making it harder to focus on my recovery. I am reaching out to you — my friends, my colleagues, my community — for support. Your donations, no matter how small, will help lift this burden. Your kindness gives me strength, and your support gives me hope. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Despite being a newly appointed government officer, Jhantu is not yet eligible for full treatment reimbursement or extended sick leave. Time is running out — and so are funds. Under this critical circumstances, we aim to raise US $8000 funds to cover the expenses at the hospital.
