My name is Jessica, and as much as I don’t want to ask for help, I think that in the best interest of my niece, I should bite the bullet and do it. My mom, Sue passed away suddenly on July 3rd. She had Guardianship of my 5 yr old niece. We have been raising her together since she was a baby but never got a chance to add me to the guardianship. And now they are requiring that I have to file a petition and other things in order to do it and tell me that it is forms that I cannot print out myself and fill out and file. So I think in order to get things done right, I just need to hire a lawyer. I have no idea how much it will cost and I also would like to have a celebration of life for my mom as well when I have this all taken care of. So any money donated to this will be used for those 2 things. Any of you who knew my mom, know how important it was to her to make sure Jupie was taken care of.
