Hello!

My name is Jessica and I’m a trans woman. I’ve been out for about a year or so, which has improved the quality of my life more than I can say. I have become so much more confident, both in myself and my identity.

However this has also drawn more of my attention to the features of my body which cause me discomfort and dysphoria. Pursuing facial feminization surgery is something I’ve been hoping to do for years. I was not aware that I was transgender before I hit puberty and as a result my facial features have grown to be masculine, which makes simple things like going out in public uncomfortable and stressful, and at times makes it very difficult to feel at ease in my own body.

Unfortunately I live in a country where access to healthcare for trans people is not free. The surgical fees are significant and in my current circumstances it’s just not possible for me to afford it on my own, especially with the related travel and recovery costs.

I’ve already lost enough years to dysphoria and just want to be able to live a life where I’m comfortable in my own skin. Any donations would mean the world to me :)

In early August I will be walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks with a group of friends in order to raise awareness about this fundraiser. These extremely cool people are taking time out of their lives to help with this campaign and for that I’ll be forever grateful. We would appreciate any support and donations, and will hopefully post some updates and pictures after the walk’s completed.
