<div>My name is Christina and my sister is someone I have always looked up to. She is one of the kindest and strongest individuals that I know.  At the age of 16, Jessica Kahigian received her first kidney transplant. I remember helping plan a welcome home party to celebrate her recovery with her family and close friends. So many people were there to cheer her on and show her their support during her recovery phase. To this day, Jess still exhibits enormous strength to carry on each day as she did 11 years ago.

<div>Fast forward 13 years and my sister is in need of a second kidney transplant unfortunately due to COVID. We have reached out to the community to help us search for a living donor and we have set up this GoFundMe platform to help defer some of the medical costs she is currently undertaking. I continue to admire her strength as she lives independently, juggles a full-time job as well as dealing with the stress of waiting for a donor as her perfect match. Many of us take for granted dealing with some struggles of feeling run down along with common aches and pains here and there, but my sister battles with her health issues on a day-to-day basis. Jess never complains as she deals with so much more in addition to her on-going medical costs.
