Hi everyone,

My name is Jessa Bilek, and it is with an aching heart that I share that my partner, Jess Williams, has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. Jess is triple positive for ER (estrogen receptor), PgR (progesterone receptor), and HER-2, which indicates a more aggressive form of cancer. As of now, Jess is still undergoing additional testing, and we’re anxiously awaiting results to determine next steps and if it has spread. We are so hoping it has not.

UPDATE 11/23/24 : Jess had a few tests done and we have a follow up on Tuesday to confirm information with the doctor about results, next steps, surgery, etc. (I will continue to update as more information comes in.)

UPDATE 12/3/24- Jess had a lot of testing and scans done. Luckily her cancer is localized and has not spread. She also received her genetic testing and does have the BCRA2 gene. She will have a double mastectomy in January. We will continue to update as information comes in. We truly appreciate everyone reaching and helping out!

UPDATE 12/26/24- Jess surgery is next Thursday, Jan. 2 in the morning. She has had her pre-op appointment on 12/23 and on 12/30 will have her drain care appt. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Thank you for all the love to Jess.

Jess is not just a fighter but a fiercely loving soul. She is a dog lover, a hard worker, and the kind of person who will drop everything to support those in need. She’s a devoted partner, dog mama, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend. If you know Jess, you know she is strong, stubborn, and very independent. Asking for help is not something that comes easily to her, but right now, she needs all the support she can get.
