Help Jess Speak @ Starship Congress

Donation protected
My name is Jesse Shanahan, and I have been invited to speak at Starship Congress 2017 (see: Icarus Interstellar) on accessibility and disability as relates to the future of space exploration.

However, I am currently unemployed, and I cannot fund my trip. Speaking at an event like this could be incredibly beneficial for my career as a disabled astrophysicist and accessibility consultant. Not only this, but I have experience speaking at conferences, and having a progressive discussion on disability is a MUST at STEM conferences. I also helped to found the first Working Group on Accessibility and Disability in the American Astronomical Society. Pushing for universal access, accessibility, and acceptance for disabled people in STEM (and consequently, space) is a lifelong mission of mine. Please help me afford this opportunity to continue to raise awareness of the barriers to access that disabled people face!

For previous talks, publications, and events of mine, please see my website.
