Help the Phipps Family Fight Cancer

Donation protected
After 4 months of aggressive chemo therapy, the Phipps family has yet another battle to fight. Though the treatment worked for some of the cancer inside Jes’ body, it was not able to cure him. Jes is still left with a tumor under his right lung as well as cancer in his abdominal lymph nodes.

The next step unfortunately, will be surgery. Jes will be having a Retroperitoneal Lymph Node Dissection (RPLND) on February 22nd at St. Mary’s. The surgery will last 5-7 hours and he will be in the hospital for 5-7 days post operation. Recovery from this surgery takes approximately 6-8 weeks during which time Jes will be unable to work. We are asking yet again for your help while we battle through this.

Jes’ employer has been amazing thus far through all of this, allowing him to work from home and donating sick leave for when he was unable to be present. After 4 months however, the donated sick leave has unfortunately run out and they unable to pay him for anymore time away from work. We are asking for help with the financial burden of Jes being out of work and the mounting new influx of medical costs they will be enduring.

We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts that have already donated, you’ve made this incredibly trying time in our lives much easier than it could have been. We look forward to beating this terrible thing together, with all of your help.
