Hi, we’re Angela, Leana, and Gloria — Jes’s sisters. We're reaching out to ask for support as our amazing sister and her family face another incredibly tough chapter.
Back in August, Jes's life changed overnight.
She suddenly became critically ill with a rare, life-threatening form of brain inflammation. Just days later, she was also involved in a traumatic accident with a large truck. It was a terrifying time, but thanks to quick help from neighbours, doctors, and family, she pulled through.
Jes began a long and difficult recovery — relearning how to process, communicate, and interact with the world around her. Her strength has been nothing short of inspiring. Spending 2 weeks in the hospital, she was able to come home until the next month.
A Setback in September
Sadly, on September 30th, Jes had another serious episode. She was rushed back to the hospital, where she remains today, undergoing many tests as doctors work to understand and manage what appears to be an ongoing autoimmune issue. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster, and the path forward remains uncertain, for Jes and her family.
Who Jes Is
Jes is a loving wife, proud mom of triplet teenage boys, and one of the hardest working people we know. Whether she was leading Cadets, working in home care, or managing a team, Jes always made time for others.
She’s creative, kind, and the first to show up when someone needs her, she is the first to make you a blanket to keep you warm or jewelery to keep you dazzling. Now, she needs us to show up for her.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Jes can’t work right now, and hasnt in almost 2 months and her husband and close family have taken time away from their jobs to care for her and the kids. With three children to support and a long road to recovery ahead, the financial strain is growing quickly.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
Living expenses while Jes recovers
Support for her kids and husband
Gas money for travel to and from the hospital
Medical needs and rehabilitation
✉️ Other Ways to Help
Jes loves receiving cards — they’ve brought her so much comfort during all of this. If you’d like to send one, message us and we’ll share where to send it.
Whether you can donate, share, or just send kind words — thank you. Your support means the world to Jes and all of us.
With love and gratitude,
❤️ Angela, Leana & Gloria
