Gone through multiple cycles of chemotherapy and immunotherapy and am now ready for stem cell transplant. <div>Hi, my name is Jerry Meak, and I’m a 21-year-old Cambodian-American. I’m reaching out for help because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of cancer that has completely turned my life upside down. I’m trying to stay strong, but the medical bills and financial burden have become too much for me and my family to handle.

<div>My parents are immigrants from Cambodia who have survived genocide and worked hard to give me and my siblings a better life. They’ve sacrificed so much for us, and I’ve always tried my best to make them proud. But right now, we’re struggling. The treatments and hospital bills are overwhelming, and my insurance barely covers anything.

<div>I work as a server and bartender, and I haven’t been able to go back to work for the last month and don’t know when I’ll be able to return while I focus on my treatments. My stay in the hospital alone was 60k and still have to go through chemo. This has left me without any source of income, and unfortunately, I still have rent and bills to pay. I was planning to save up to go back to school soon, but this diagnosis has changed everything. With low insurance coverage, I’m unsure how long I’ll be able to keep up with my medical expenses and regular bills.

<div>I like to believe I’m a good person, so you don’t have to worry about your money going to the wrong place. I spent my life putting smiles on peoples faces, being that shoulder that people could lean on, and treated everyone the way I’d like to be treated.
