Help Jerrin’s appeal fund and Exoneration

Hi guys,

My Step-Dad Jerrin Hickman has been currently serving life in prison in the state of Oregon for a crime he did not commit. My grandma, Terri has been working for 13 years not only with the Oregon Innocence Project, but with countless attorneys, Black activist groups, etc. trying to gain his release. We recently just had a post-conviction hearing (PCR) in February in hopes of the exoneration of my dad. However, the Judge Ahern denied our Attorneys petition and Denied that my dad suffered any Racial Prejudice. This is ludicrous being that my dad was criminalized based off of misidentification, false evidence, and racially bias witness statements. Since the denial, my family has been heartbroken. This past year has been about growth but also hurting. Our attorney has now had my dads case sent to a legal team in Portland, Oregon for an appeal. Most likely, the state of Oregon will make our family pay for the appeal.

We are asking friends, family, and anybody with kindness in their heart to help us raise money for his next appeal.

Our family has been ripped apart enough from the Criminal justice system. Jerrin Hickman deserves freedom. Jerrin Hickman deserves to be home. The state must be held accountable for incarcerating a black man who is innocent and taking away a father to my brother and i, a fiancé to my mom, a brother to my uncle, and a son from my grandma. His friends miss him.

Justice for Jerrin. No matter how long it will take.

Love you dearly,
