Help Jericho Rebuild after Hurricane Melissa

Hi everyone, my name is Dawn-Marie Parker and I’m writing on behalf of Jericho, a small town in Jamaica. As many of you have seen, Hurricane Melissa has destroyed a large part of our country's infrastructure. Jamaicans in the US have spent the last few days waiting to hear from family members. For my family, we finally heard back on Saturday. Here are the latest updates: No food in grocery stores, a limited supply of water, roofs that flew off or caved in days ago, and entire families left homeless. While major cities are getting at least more media coverage, Jericho and other rural areas are still struggling to get help.

My mom and her siblings were born and raised here, and I’ve been visiting for as long as I can remember. I know the roads, I know the people. I know my favorite spot in the church, where you get a clear view of the mountains through the stained-glass windows. I don’t know if those windows are still there. I don't know if the church is still there.

Because Jericho is such a tiny town, and families have been here for generations, everyone knows each other. You can be confident that every dollar will go directly to families. There will be no middle man.  All proceeds will go towards canned food, formula for the babies, clean water, shipping costs, and roof repairs. Anything helps. Thank you so much. ♥️
