Help Jeremy Care For Chloe

Donation protected
Like most single fathers my nephew, Jeremy, started 2018 dreaming of great things for himself and his two children; Chloe, age 12, and her younger brother.  Unfortunately, that dream didn’t last long.

On January 10, Jeremy and Chloe’s mother received a phone call that Chloe had suffered a seizure while at school.  School personnel called 911 and Chloe was rushed to a local hospital.  After an examination the ER doctor suggested the seizure may have been caused by an unconfirmed sinus issue.  While preparing to leave the ER, Chloe suffered a second seizure.  A CT scan showed a mass in her brain.  Chloe was transferred to another hospital in the area where an MRI and biopsy were performed. The results showed a golf ball sized tumor in her frontal lobe.

Chloe underwent brain surgery January 19.  The surgery revealed a grade 4 infiltrative Astrocytoma.  Jeremy, Chloe’s mother and the rest of the family were devastated by the news.  Chloe will begin radiation and chemotherapy soon.

Prior to January 10, Chloe was a happy, healthy, kind, soft spoken 12 year old girl without a care in the world.  She and her brother, Owen, live with their mother and spend every weekend and a couple evenings each week with their father. Both parents are employed full time (furniture repairman/hairdresser) but money is tight.  Both are paid an hourly salary so any time away from work results in a loss of pay.  When time allows, Jeremy frequently takes on side jobs for extra money to meet his obligations.

Jeremy works hard to provide for his children.  He is a loving, devoted father spending quality time with them in a safe, nurturing environment.  They are his world and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for them.

Jeremy’s job provides the medical insurance that is covering the cost associated with Chloe’s medical condition.  Unfortunately, the medical insurance comes with extremely high deductibles.  During this crisis, Jeremy is faced with a huge dilemma. Any time away from work results in a loss of pay and the risk of losing the medical insurance needed to cover the costs associated with Chloe’s care.

As you can imagine, Chloe faces months, if not years, of medical intervention and enormous medical bills along with everyday costs.  To date, the out-of-pocket deductible owed is $18,000.  That amount is expected to increase rapidly and dramatically.

We do not want Jeremy to spend any of his valuable energy worrying about how to pay Chloe's medical expenses, his rent, utilities, support payments, food, etc. while she is in the battle of her life.

We’re asking for your help.  Your donations will go directly to Jeremy which will help him and Chloe during this difficult time.  If you are not able to help financially, we ask that you send your love and prayers.  Please share this with your family and friends so that we can get the word out.

We are extremely grateful that you took the time to read about Jeremy and Chloe and for anything you can do to help.

Thank you!!
