Our Local Athlete Jen Bell, from Thunder Bay will be competing in the 2018 UCI Granfondo World Championships in Varese, Italy being held on August 30th-September2nd.
She has qualified to represent Canada and race against riders from all over the World in both the 22km Time Trial and 130km hilly Road Race.
Over the last two years Jen has been training hard with her coach and has raced in the 2017 Canadian Master National Championships in Vancouver, BC bringing home with her a Gold in the Time Trial and Silver medals in both the Road Race and Criterium.
This year she participated in the 2018 Canadian Masters National Championships in Victoria, BC and was able to defend her title for a second year with another Gold medal in the Time Trial.
