Help support Jen & Christopher!

Christopher was born with hydrocephalus which required him to have a VP shunt. His life has been everything but easy. He has had 21 surgeries in his life time. Recently in September on his 16th birthday, Christopher became very sick. He was having a shunt malfunction. He was taken To emergency brain surgery to repair the shunt. He recovered well.
About one month after his shunt revision all his symptoms started over. It has been a battle for him ever since. Numerous trips to the ER only to be sent home stating everything checked out okay. On December 12th, he collapsed in his moms room into a seizure that put him back in the hospital with another shunt malfunction. Emergency brain surgery again. This time they replaced the Catheter and the valve which was a more intense surgery. Recovery has been rough.
After being sent home to recover, they ended back at Childrens a week later that took us almost to Christmas. Again sent back home on meds stating things were working fine. On January 5th mom (Jen) brought him in for another CT scan because she knew something was wrong. Results showed another shunt malfunction. This time they removed the entire shunt and he currently has a EVD ( his shunt is now on the outside of his body until they can safely rule out infection). When it is safe they will replace the shunt. This can be 7-14 days with the EVD before another VP shunt is placed which means a lengthy hospital stay for Christopher and Jen.
Jen is such a hardworking, loving, dedicated mother. Christopher means the world to her! Jen has always been an amazing, loyal, dedicated friend to us all and truly would give her shirt off her back for someone in need! Let’s pull together and show her how much we all truly love and care for her and Christopher! The funds collected will allow Jen to stay at the hospital with Christopher without worry that her mortgage, bills and previous ambulance/hospital bills will go past due. She shouldn’t have to choose between working to keep her home afloat and being there for Christopher. Anything you can donate will help! Please continue prayers and we appreciate you all!
