My name is Jelli, and this February, I will be traveling to South Korea to study abroad for five months. This has been my dream since my junior year of high school, and I have worked tirelessly to make it happen. As a homeless college student, I am completely independent and have been taking care of myself full time. Despite the challenges, I never gave up on my goal. I saved every dollar I could since graduation, and I am proud to say I have just enough to get myself to South Korea.

 While I am excited for this new chapter, I am also worried about how I will afford food and personal necessities while I am there. My savings will cover my travel, but things like meals and daily essentials may be hard to come by at times. I want to make the most of this experience, not just academically, but also by exploring and participating in activities if I am able to afford it. However, my main priority is making sure I can take care of myself while I am away from home.
