Help Jeff With Angie's Medical bills

Donation protected
Angie has been hospitalized since March 26th and has undergone two major brain surgeries - one to place a VP Shunt for obstructive hydrocephalus and the second for decompression and resection of 2 tumors on her cerebellum due to an aggressive breast cancer that has metastasized to her lungs, brain, spine and now liver and we're still waiting on additional test results. Angie has spent the last 3 weeks in The Johns Hopkins Neuro Critical Care Unit and is now on the Neuro Inpatient floor being cared for by an incredible team of brilliant doctors, outstanding nurses and amazing techs & therapists overseeing her care & treatment.

Angie is an amazing wife, daughter, sister, stepmother, stepgrandmother and friend with an infectious smile and spunky, vivacious personality. Everyone who knows Angie knows that she’s a fighter in the best sense of the word. There’s a long road ahead with a lot of unknowns at this time, but one thing is certain - there’s no give-up in Angie’s vocabulary and she’s working very hard to get back to her amazing life, family and friends.

Angie has dedicated her life to caring for others throughout her 25+ yrs medical career as a highly-skilled RN, BSN, CMSRN, Advanced Clinical Nurse IV. She's always the first to volunteer where needed from educating/teaching on wound care to helping set up and generate safety protocols on the covid unit.

Any contributions are greatly appreciated and will be used to help Angie and Jeff recover financially from the large costs associated with her ongoing medical treatments, care and recovery, primarily medical bills and living expenses.

Please feel free to share your thoughts and words of encouragement here as well. We’ll make sure that she hears every word! Thank you all for your love and support during this very difficult time.

5/1 update
While the two surgeries Angie had were helpful, unfortunately the cancer had already spread and progressed to such an advanced stage that further treatment is just not helpful. So on April 19th Angie moved into Hospice Care at Stella Maris with the goal to keep her comfortable for the time she has left. She is being well looked after there… with family and close friends taking turns staying with her day and night so she is never alone. She knows who we are and that we are with her, but she is very weak and primarily sleeps all of the time and will talk with us on occasion. She is not eating or drinking and only receives comfort meds at this point to manage her pain. We want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and messages of support. Angie is blessed to have such wonderful friends who love and care about her.

Sad news!

0n March 24th at 14:20 Angela Aurdey Stephens has lost her fifty- nine day battle with breast cancer.
We would like to thank everyone who helped Angie through this unbelievably difficu;t time and to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

The original gofund me account was cancelled unexpectely! We are still in desperate need of any assistance. Hospital bills simply dont stop!
This is truly a tremendous help during this horrific time.
