I Dream of a Cure for Jeanne!

I dream of a cure for Jeanne!!!!

If you are here, you either know my good friend Jeanne or have heard of her in some way. I have known Jeanne as long as I can remember, and I certainly don't want to remember a time where I didn't know her. We have raised each others kids together since they were basically born and I consider her my family, more than I even consider some of my family!!

Maybe she was your childcare provider? Jeanne has provided home preschool and daycare to nearly 100 local kids over the last 20 years as Little Stars Daycare. She is the most caring and nurturing person I have ever known.

Possibly you know her from being involved in PTA or assisting with your child's classroom? Maybe it's from your son or daughters team sport, she has been a team mom for many teams over the years. Perhaps it's even from high school or through a friend of a friend. Regardless of how you know Jeanne, and even if you've never met her, in some way she has touched all of us.

Jeanne grew up in Carpinteria and has raised her 4 children (23, 19, 17 and 15) as a single mom in Camarillo since 1996, and is also "mom" to her fiancé's six-year-old daughter.

In May of 2013, she was diagnosed with high-grade liposarcoma. Liposarcoma is a devastating and incurable cancer. After 2 surgeries and 35 rounds of radiation she hoped her scans would show that she was NED -- No Evidence of Disease -- unfortunately, her latest scans revealed the horrifying news that her cancer is widespread, actively progressing and severe.

Jeanne had no choice but to give up her business to undergo radiation, and being self-employed she does not qualify for state disability or any other benefits. To say that her medical bills are profound would be an understatement, and this is before starting the next round of treatments requiring a full 5-day hospital stay each month to receive her chemotherapy and several more surgeries on the horizon.

Jeanne is not a person who has ever asked for help, she has so much pride, so much integrity, more than most people I know. So I am asking for her. This amazing lady needs our help. Please help me help Jeanne, help her keep fighting. Help her so that she can concentrate on getting better and beating this stupid disease. Jeanne has never given up, and I know she will win this fight! With our help, she will beat this cancer!!!

ALL of the donations here are deposited into Jeanne's account and go DIRECTLY to Jeanne.
